When the screen needs replacing

  • The glass is cracked or chipped.
  • Lines, marks or black patches appear, or the screen flickers.
  • The touchscreen doesn't respond, or only responds in some areas.
  • The screen stays black even though the phone rings or vibrates.

  3. We replace the screen and check that everything works before handing your phone back.

On iPhone we recommend Soft-OLED and, on models that came with an LCD screen (iPhone XR, 11 and SE), high-quality Incell: iPhone screen replacement.

On Samsung, Xiaomi and other brands, we fit the original screen whenever it's available: that way the in-screen fingerprint reader and the proximity sensor keep working properly. With a compatible screen they can fail on some models, so we only use one if you agree.

Usual repair time

We keep every Soft-OLED iPhone screen in stock and replace them in under 1 hour. For other models, please ask about availability: if we need to order the screen, most arrive the same day or the next, and only a few take a few days longer. Once we have it, screen replacement takes under 1 hour.

Frequently asked questions about screen replacement

No. Replacing the screen doesn't touch your phone's memory, so your photos and apps stay where they are. If the phone still works, it's a good idea to back it up first, just in case.

We tell you how long it will take when we order it: usually we have it the same day or the next. If your phone still works, you can take it with you and use it in the meantime. Once the screen arrives, the replacement takes under 1 hour.

On most modern phones the glass and the display are bonded together at the factory, so the whole part is replaced.

We tell you, and you decide whether we repair that as well. We never carry on without letting you know.
